Activists of the Reddy, Kummari, Padmashali and BC communities are holding protests and giving representation to officials, demanding ‘Bandhu’ schemes for their communities. Representatives of the Kummari community in a meeting in Ellandhakunta mandal of Huzurabad constituency recently demanded that the government announce Kummari Bandhu. Silurveru Ranjith, Huzurabad constituency sangham president, alleged that after the formation of Telangana state, the Chief Minister had introduced schemes for different communities but nothing had been done for the people of the Kummari community.
