Rikki Arundel's video: Your Introduction - The PEPP Story Way to Outstanding Speaking

@Your Introduction - The PEPP Story Way to Outstanding Speaking
There are so many stories about bad introductions. Chat show host Michael Parkinson, was once introduced as war correspondent Michael Partington. I have never had the wrong introduction, but I have had people read out a long bio that meant I had to change the entire opening of my speech. I have been introduced by a very funny chair, when my speech was not very funny at all. I have had no introduction at all; the host leaving it to me to introduce myself. The introduction is part of your speech, but delivered by someone else, and often someone who is not a very good speaker. If you leave the introduction to them, you have no control over what the audience is set up tp expect and sometimes that means they get unreasonable expectations, or they get too much of your speech delivered by someone else. Today I want to give you a few tips to get this right and am particularly grateful to my friend and fellow professional speaker Jeremy Nicholas, who also regularly MCs events and makes sure that speakers get their intro right. You can find out more about Jeremy at www.JeremyNicholas.co.uk Don't forget that you can contact me at Rikki@rikkiarundel.com to find out how you can benefit from 1 to 1 coaching with me.
