SOUNZ Centre for NZ Music's video: IHLARA MCINDOE: Suspire

@IHLARA MCINDOE: Suspire
IHLARA MCINDOE: Suspire Ihlara McIndoe’s ‘Suspire’ is a, “reflective meditation, drawing from melodic themes of Chidori for koto, and the never ending beautiful colours of the sho.” In this recording from Ebila Hall in Tokyo we first hear the traditional work ‘Chidori’, performed on the koto by Nanae Yoshimura, who is then joined by Mayumi Miyata on the sho for Ihlara’s work. Supported by the New Zealand Japan Exchange Programme, with film editing funded by NZ On Air.
