Sam Cooley's video: Alam Udang Bum - inside Kachin State s Holy Cross mountain pilgrimage

This is a short video detailing the path of a major Catholic pilgrimage site atop a mountain in Kachin State, Myanmar. In September of each year, thousands of pilgrims travel to the mountaintop shrine. A number of purported miracles are said to have taken place atop the shrine, where a 30 foot statue of Christ overlooks the misty mountain ranges and valleys of Kachin State. The music heard in this video is an acoustic cover of a very well known Kachin song by the name of "Jinghpaw Buga". Special thanks to "wise bunny" for letting me use it. From the base of the mountain the hike up the mountain is quite steep and requires athleticism and ample hydration. To get to the top takes about 2 and a half hours by foot.
