Great to step back in time at the Papplewick Pumping Station 1940s Steam Weekend. There was a plethora of Steam and Militaria from the period. The majority of people were in costume and in character, including Sir Winston Churchill. Was good to see some of the history of Papplewick Pumping Station, which continues to supply water to Nottingham. Some of the key buildings include the Engine House & Boiler House, Store workshop and Forge, Chimney, Cooling Pond, Linby Winder (Winding House) and the Superintendent's House. -- 19 October 2013 Watch in HD & Full Screen
