It provides numerous buses (both AC and Non AC) to and from almost each and every corner of lower half of West Bengal, especially where other form transportation is either unavailable or very poor. Other than intercity service, they also city buses in numerous towns and cities of West Bengal along with private operators but comparatively have cheap fares. However, the maintenance of the buses always remains debatable but improvement is not seen in years. In this journey, I was on board from Durgapur City Centre Bus Stand to Bankura. Bus arrived Durgapur late by 30 mins. The traffic was worse for the major portion of the journey. Thus, increasing the journey time by 1 Hour. I booked the tickets online and well in advance through Red Bus app. The bus was heavily packed and our seats were already occupied when we boarded the bus. So, we requested the passengers in our seats to get up as we had reservation. Bus hardly stopped for 5 mins in Durgapur, thus creating havoc for the passengers during boarding and de-boarding.
