The 4WD Shed's video: Wild Dog Winch Challenge 2019

This was my second event at the property in Willow Grove & the first full event without Phil in the car with me. After laying it on its side on Friday night in the creek we missed getting a score on the board for 2 out 5 stages run. Saturday morning didnt start well for us with a track that was slippery from the approx 20mm of rain during the week & losing drive due to a pump seal in the transmission saw us out for the day. It took 4hrs until we could get the car back to camp under its own steam due to the wet paddocks. It was 3hrs before the stage we had dnf'd on saw a second car & only 6 were successful in completing it. Sunday had some fun rally stages & we completed 6 out of 9 stages choosing to avoid the really swampy bogholes to avoid further damage to the transmission. With our newly bought shares in transmission fluid aka 10 litres in the space case, we continued to top the car up during the day. We also discovered a wiring gremlin that was causing some electric issues which was fixed in time for the fun runs after the event.
