On completion of fourth phase projects, the Delhi Metro network will be more than 450 kms. The passenger travel figure will then reach 71.26 lakh. Pink Line corridor to be completed this month The construction of Metro corridor between Mayur Vihar pocket one to Trilokpuri on the pink line will be completed this month. This will provide Metro service from Shiv Vihar to Majlis Park on Poopak line. At present, the Metro service is available between Mayur Vihar Pocket one to Majlis Park and Trilokpuri to Shiv Vihar in two parts on the pink line. The Metro service is not yet available between Mayur Vihar Pocket one to Trilokpuri. The Metro will start operating by May-June after completion of the corridor. In addition, the corridor will be ready by September between Najafgarh to Dhasa bus stand on Dwarka-Najafgarh metro line. Noida Airport: DMRC to prepare DPR for Airport Express Metro, know what's the plan The Practical and Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for Metro connectivity from Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport to Noida International Airport. The proposal for preparation of DPR after approval from the state Government will be sent to DMRC. The decision was made at an online meeting held on Tuesday in the Yamuna authority. The connectivity of Noida Airport Metro to Delhi Airport Express Metro will be explored at Shivaji Stadium station. Separate corridors can be prepared for express Metro. The government has already agreed to the oral proposal of the Yamuna authority to prepare the DPR of Noida Airport Metro from DMRC. The proposal was sent to the government on Tuesday. So that DMRC can start functioning after approval. The online meeting chaired by additional Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar also included CEOs from Noida And Greater Noida besides Noida Metro Rail Corporation, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation besides Yamuna authority. Noida Airport Metro Yamuna Expressway can connect to the IGI airport at Shivaji Stadium station in parallel with noida Greater Noida Expressway. DMRC will also see that the route to Shivaji Stadium station should be prepared through Aqua Metro and Blue Line Metro or a separate corridor should be constructed. Revised DPR of Metro from Knowledge Park to Noida Airport to be ready The DPR was submitted by DMRC in February 2019 for metro route from Knowledge Park two to Noida Airport. 25 stations were proposed on the 35 km long route, but the GOVERNMENT rejected the DPR saying that the passengers would take more time to reach the airport due to the high station. The cost of the project will also be higher. This will not make the project feasible. The Yamuna authority had suggested to keep the number of stations five to six with the revised DPR. The revised DPR will also be prepared by DMRC. It will be considered at Sector 18, 20, 22d, film City Sector 21, Sector 28 and Noida Airport station. Dr. Arunveer Singh, CEO, Yamuna Authority said that a fea to know about the feasability and detailed project report from DMRC will be prepared for the Noida Express Metro. A proposal has been sent to the Government for approval. The report will be ready in two months.
