@CRST Lincoln Sales faces predatory lease allegation | Trucking Answers
CRST Trucking and CRST Lincoln Sales are embroiled in allegations that they had a predatory lease. CRST Expedited drivers are saying that they were misclassified as independent contractors but were really employees. Did anyone even know they had CRST Lincoln Sales? I didn't. CRST International drivers that were under this lease plan claim they were paid less than minimum wage and had to follow the same rules, even including routing, as the CRST Trucking drivers that were employees. The CRST lease operators claim little to no autonomy in how they ran their business. That is a core component of being an independent contractor. The only way these companies get away with this is drivers keep signing up for it, believing the promises made by the company because the drivers want the dream of being an owner operator. Don't fall for it. When drivers stop doing it, these companies will stop offering it. I think eventually this CRST thing will go like they all do and end up paying out $2 to each driver and nothing happens to CRST Transportation. I will keep everyone informed about this and any updates. https://landline.media/crst-must-face-predatory-lease-allegations-in-wage-lawsuit/ Subscribe to Trucking Answers!
