Wim Karmelk's video: The City of New Orleans - a Willie Nelson cover - by Wim

@The City of New Orleans - a Willie Nelson cover - by Wim
"City of New Orleans" is a country folk song written by Steve Goodman describing a train ride from Chicago to New Orleans on the Illinois Central Railroad's City of New Orleans. Steve Goodman released it as his debut single from his debut album. The song has been recorded by numerous artists both in the US and Europe, including two major hit versions: first by Arlo Guthrie in 1972, and later by Willie Nelson in 1984. The melody is best known in the Netherlands and Belgium for Gerard Cox's hit - 't Is weer voorbij die mooie zomer” (It’s over that beautiful summer) - which was a loose translation of the French text to the same melody. I’m also Dutch, a big fan of Willie Nelson and I hope you like this rendition of mine and what I made of the video.
