Hi, guys! It's been a while since I've done anything that wasn't a MEP part...but I wanted to experiment with the footage I got off of some new DVDs I bought. In the end, I combined two of my favorite animated 90's TV shows (Disney's Gargoyles and Batman Beyond) together in this crossover! Batman Beyond is very underrated in my opinion, often sitting in the shadow of its prequel series Batman: The Animated Series, and as much as I do enjoy the original Batman series, I really love the look and imagination that went into the "Batman of the future" and the world he lives in. Terry is a very fun character, being a perfect mix of gritty action and wry humor, and his interactions with the elderly Bruce Wayne are always a blast to watch. The one major complaint I have about the series is that Terry's main love interest Dana Tan is not very active, helpful, or interesting, especially compared to the other women in Terry's life (Max Gibson and Melanie "Ten" Walker). If anything, most of the episodes featuring her discuss how Terry is going to hide his secret identity from her and/or her complaining about how he never has time for her anymore around his "job." So yeah, um...not sure if this is really romantic persay, if nothing else than because Terry is a teenager and Elisa is not, but I do love watching Terry interact with fun, no-nonsense characters, female or otherwise, and Elisa is certainly that. This whole thing was just a fun test, so I didn't spend too much time on a plot -- this is all it really is, in case it's hard to follow. Terry McGinnis, otherwise known as the new Batman, is snooping around the police station when he hears Elisa Maza, a well-respected detective, talking to her boss about how dangerous David Xanatos is and how they need to get him off the streets. Terry, since he works outside the law and thus doesn't have to worry about protocol, decides to help Elisa out and changes into Batman to fight crime as usual. The next morning Elisa is taken aback when one of her coworkers says that Xanatos was defeated by Batman and is now in custody. A few days later Elisa hears about a commotion downtown on the news and runs out to go help. Terry as Batman is already on his way, and he saves the day. Later as he flies around town he is startled to see a spotlight with the Batman symbol aimed at the sky, and he follows it to a rooftop where Elisa is waiting. Elisa thanks him for his help, and Terry gives her a smile before he takes flight again.
