CORE STRENGTHENING EXERCISES AND HAMSTRING STRETCHES FOR ALL AGES. In this video I will show you two exercises you can do for CORE STRENGTHENING EXERCISES AND HAMSTRING STRETCHES! FIT TIPS AND MODIFICATIONS: *ON THE FIRST EXERCISE IT'S IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE KNEES LOCKED TO REALLY GET INTO THE HAMSTRING FOR A DEEP STRETCH. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO LOCK THE KNEES, THEN KEEP THEM SLIGHTLY BENT AND START WHERE YOU ARE AND WORK UP FROM THERE. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PLACE YOUR HANDS ON THE GROUND, THEN PLACE THEM ON YOUR KNEES AND START WHERE YOU ARE AND WORK UP FROM THERE. THIS WILL BE YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL EVENTUALLY AND WITH CONSISTENCY YOU WILL GET IT. TIGHT HAMSTRINGS CAN CAUSE BACK PAIN, NECK PAIN AND KNEE PAIN. SO AS I ALWAYS SAY: START WHERE YOU ARE USE WHAT YOU HAVE AND DO WHAT YOU CAN. *ON THE SECOND EXERCISE SPREAD THE FEET WIDER THAT SHOULDER WIDTH APART AND DRIVE THE KNEES OUT. AS YOU MOVE FORWARD, LIFT THE FOOT AND HAND FROM THE FLOOR SIMULTANEOUSLY. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO DO THIS THEN JUST LIFT THE FOOT AND WORK UP FROM THERE. IMAGINE BALANCING A GLASS OF WATER OR A GLASS OF WINE, WHATEVER WORKS ;) OR YOU CAN JUST GET INTO THE POSITION AND HOLD FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN. THEN WORK UP FROM THERE. THIS IS A GREAT MOVEMENT TO STRENGTHEN THE CORE AND SHOULDER JOINT. AS I ALWAYS SAY: START WHERE YOU ARE USE WHAT YOU HAVE AND DO WHAT YOU CAN. NO EXCUSES!!
