El Smeghead's video: Flock of birds attack a DJI Mini 2 over the sea

Well, what a day I've had today! Took my brand new DJI Mini2 out for its maiden flight over the sea on the west coast of Guernsey, only to be hounded by a huge flock of Puffins. These birds HATE me! First they swept across in front of the Mini2, then they swooped around and came in for an attack from the rear so I spun around to return to shore when they again did a hard about turn and came in head-on! That was it, I immediately flicked it into Sport Mode and raised my altitude to 250ft to make it hard for them to follow. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest all the way back to dry land. Top Tip: Should you encounter birds whilst flying your drone. Always increase your altitude as fast as you can, as birds can't fly up as fast as a drone can in Sport mode. This will put some distance between your drone and the birds quicker than just flying away. Also, get yourself some “Eyeballs” stickers for your drone from Ken Heron. They really work! My other drones that have the eyeballs on 👀 have always scared birds away before they got too close. My Mini 1&2 don’t have them, so this happens.
