Floridian Elevators's video: INCREDIBLE HISTORIC 60s Otis Black Button 1912 MANUAL Otis Elevators - 69 Deleware Ave Buffalo NY

As of today, I am officially 20 YEARS OLD (GODDAMN IM GETTING OLD!!!) and so today, we need to Celebrate this big milestone in my life with something truly EPIC!!! And to Celebrate, we have NOT ONE, but TWO BANKS of HISTORIC & ANCIENT Otis Elevators located at the Historic Goldwynn Building aka 69 Deleware Ave, in Downtown Buffalo, NY! This beautiful Historic building was built in 1912, and the Main Elevators were beautifully modernized and automated presumably in the 1960s by Otis with Black Button fixtures on the inside and Lexan call stations on most floors on the outside. Since then, they've received a few minor upgrades such as New Indicators inside the cars as well as new call stations and indicators in the lobby. With that said though, everything else still remains untouched from the 1960s Modernization, and it goes to show you that even if something looks modded on the outside, ALWAYS check the inside of the elevators! Cause you don't know what you'll find until you do so! These elevators run very nicely and the Black Button fixtures are in SUCH GOOD SHAPE and are so CLEAN & SHINY to the point they almost look like they're brand new! I have to give huge thanks to @JimLiElevators for originally finding these, these elevators are definitely AMAZING and are a Must See when in Buffalo even though Otis Black Button is one of the more common types of Vintage Elevators in existence. That's not all there is here though! The Freight Elevators which are NEVER BEFORE SEEN and located DIRECTLY BEHIND the Main Elevators accessed via a passageway in the Basement are COMPLETELY 100% ORIGINAL MANUALLY CONTROLLED Otises that are Original from 1912 when the building was built and are EVEN MORE AMAZING than the Main Elevators!! These elevators do go pretty slow, but considering the fact that the CABS, CRANKS, Motors, Controllers and literally everything about them remains original from 110 YEARS AGO, in all honesty, who CARES!?!?!? Even the signs in the cab look to be very Antiquated, and this elevator while slow, runs VERY SMOOTHLY minus a little rough area on the guiderails noticeable when going down. Otherwise, these elevators are TRULY AMAZING in EVERYWAY possible and these are EASILY some of the most favorite Manual Elevators I've EVER been on! The CABS, The CRANKS, the DOORS, the PAINT and literally just EVERYTHING about these is just so ANCIENT and so COOL!!!! All in all, these elevators and this building are an ABSOLUTE MUST SEE when in Buffalo, if you don't come here, you WILL very much regret it!! These elevators are just truly amazing in literally every way imaginable, and I really hope this building continues to keep these original for many more years to come. With that said, enjoy my 20th Birthday Special featuring some AMAZING HISTORIC Otis Elevators, some Original Manually Controlled and some with a Vintage Modernization located right in the Heart of Downtown Buffalo! Installed in 1912. (Manually Controlled Otis) Modernized in Circa 1960s. (Otis with "Newer" Black Button fixtures, New Cabs, New Controllers, New inner Doors and New Lanterns. Motors and Outer doors left original, as well as the 2 Freight Elevators which weren't touched at all.)
