Julian Thurgood's video: Ribblehead 13 April 2019 - The Citadel and The Border Raider

2 steam charter trains came over the Settle line to Carlisle, then back south via the West Coast Main Line on Saturday 13th April 2019. LMS black fives 44871 & 45407 were the steam power for Ian Riley's 'The Citadel' tour from Manchester Victoria to Carlisle. Tornado was the steam power for the UK Railtours tour 'The Border Raider' from Birmingham to Carlisle. The Citadel is seen passing north through Ribblehead Station, and the Border Raider is seen from near Blea Moor signal box as it passes (a long way away) through Ribblehead Station, then Ribblehead Viaduct, passing the remote Blea Moor signal box then heading off towards Blea Moor tunnel. It is seen later departing south from Carlisle (amongst a flock of class 66s).
