Life In Another Town's video: Refugees at Porte de La Chapelle in Paris get free tea and coffee from the volunteers at Solidarith

@Refugees at Porte de La Chapelle in Paris get free tea and coffee from the volunteers at Solidarithé
Solidarithé gives out many hundreds of refugees free cups of hot sweet tea and coffee. These refugees are living rough on the streets of the area around Porte de La Chapelle in Paris, France. The failure of the national and local authorities to deal effectively with the causes and effects of the refugee crisis means many thousands of refugees, mostly young men, are living rough in France. Hundreds of Sudanese, Afghan and Eritrean men are living without shelter, adequate sanitation, food, and clothing in the area of northern Paris called Porte de La Chapelle. The time when the guys get free hot drinks, language lessons, information on help and services in Paris, art workshops, and friendly chat provided by Solidarithé every evening is a moment of respite. If you want to volunteer your time, give money or donations to support the the many refugee men, women, boys and girls who need our help, then please visit the the Solidarithé Facebook page, msesage me or click the links below. The effects of the refugee crisis mean there are many thousands of refugees living without food and shelter across Europe. This video shows how we prepared 400 food bags for distribution to Sudanese refugees living rough in Bruxelles. While preparing hundreds of food bags seems an enormous task; with planning and preparation, a small team of able volunteers can make light work of this type of job. I don't say our food bag process is necessarily the perfect model for you to reproduce, but it is one that worked well and it is a good starting point for those of you who want to deliver emergency food aid to non-domiciled refugees. There are many refugee support associations who will welcome your help as a volunteer and, or your donations. Below is a list of several non-profit volunteer groups I know of personally, which do great work in supporting refugees: Solidarithé https://en-gb.facebook.com/solidarithe/ RCK http://refugeecommunitykitchen.com Help Refugees https://helprefugees.org.uk/ Utopia56 http://www.utopia56.com/en Merseyaid http://www.merseyaid.com/ Heather & I thank you for watching this video.
