Welcome to my friend's apartment in South Korea! Remember to subscribe! 1K subscribers and I'll do a Q&A~~ I'm not sure exactly how big this studio apartment is, but definitely bigger than the apartment from the last tour! This is located in the newer areas of Jinju so everything around is pretty new and empty- a nice and quiet space away from the loud university districts. When you teach English in Korea, they provide you with an apartment and you don't have to pay rent. But, if you decide you don't want the apartment they give you, you can venture off and find your own place. Obviously, this is personal preference and you would have to do most of the work yourself. The school should give you an allowance (400 000 won) and you would have to cover the rest of the rent. Another thing to note is that in order to rent an apartment in Korea, you have to put down a large deposit, also called "key money". In this case, Han paid 5 000 000 won from her own pocket. However, she will get it back when she leaves. One more thing to note is that usually contracts will go for 1-2 years so if you want to move, think about if you will actually stay in Korea for that long. I've been to alot of my friends apartments and they all vary in sizes and what it comes with. Like I said in the video, this is one of the nicest places I've been to. If you are coming to Korea, don't expect them to all look this nice. It took alot of effort too! Most places will be very basic, studio type with a bathroom, bedroom/living room as one big room.
