Signal Hill Productions's video: MOW Parade at the Vale - MBTA Double Track Project

@MOW Parade at the 'Vale - MBTA Double Track Project
A brigade of maintenance-of-way vehicles, owned or leased by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, rolls through the village of Ballardvale, Massachusetts, en route to the future site of Macaulay Interlocking. Soon there will be double track between Lawrence Yard and Lowell Junction, easing congestion along what is currently a four-mile stretch of single track shared by the MBTA Commuter Rail, the Amtrak Downeaster, and Pan Am Railways; these crews and machines are hard at work, making it happen. I'd decided to swing by the 'Vale to meet up with fellow railfan Michael Rodgers, completely forgetting that the stretch of track running through the village would be closed due to the double track project. The trip would've been a wasted one if it hadn't been for these guys' showing up. I'd even go as far as to say that being able to catch this parade of MOW equipment was worth the parking ticket that I managed to get in the twenty minutes that I was here.
