It is the lack of control over ejaculation where it often happens sooner than what the man or his partner wants. Why do premature ejaculations happen? You may also use 2 layers of condoms as well, to reduce the sensitization of your penis, but bear in mind as well using 2 layers of condoms causes friction on the condoms, making them easier to break thus running the risk of contraception failure. We have mentioned before, Dependent on the reason of the premature ejaculation, your doctor will prescribe the most appropriate treatment for you.  If it is a psychological issue, the doctor may refer you to a sex therapist for psychotherapy and counseling to explore the underlying reason for the premature ejaculation and put them at ease.  The doctor may also decide to prescribe you dapoxetine. This is a SSRI antidepressant. Brand names are like Priligy, Westoxetin, Extensil, Xydap etc. Dapoxetine is an SSRI antidepressant.  Dapoxetine is the only SSRI approved as a treatment for the treatment for premature ejaculations. The side effect of dapoxetine is to slow down ejaculations.
