follow us on Instagram Title: At-Home Athlete Abs 0 How to see your abs simplified, below 👇 This week was going to be all At-Home Leg posts but I’ve had an overwhelming number of people ask how to get rid of belly fat specifically so I thought I’d explain something here... Yes, I am doing ab strengthening exercises in this post but ab exercises do not magically target belly fat, they build the abs muscles that are underneath your belly fat. In order to see your abs you have to lower your overall body fat%. which comes through monitoring your nutrition. In other words, you have to lose overall body fat by eating less food than you use for energy, daily. You can’t just target belly fat with exercises alone. No amount of exercise in the world will matter if you eat in a caloric surplus daily. You will still gain fat. Also, you actually don’t "need' to do ab specific work in order to see your abs if you have a low enough body fat%. Typically, training more athletic alone will build your abs up nicely as you are using them more with compound lifts and athletic movements. The real key is to put the two together to obtain the goal you are going for. These days it is actually easier than you think to monitor your food intake. You don’t even have to be a nutritionist to understand the basic principles. In my At-Home Athlete program I give you my exact two favorite approach’s for fat loss. One is more for immediate fat loss and the other is for what I call the long game approach and/or maintenance once you’ve reached your goal. Both are great options and lflrmly believe all people need to learn for themselves how to monitor their food intake appropriately.
