The 12th lecture for GEO 322 Surface Processes at Oregon State University on Oct. 17, 2018 continues the discussion of diffusive transport on hillslopes. After an explanation of some of the answers on the last take-home quiz, this lecture explores the mass balance on a hillslope analogous to a moraine, where mobile regolith is arbitrarily deep. Time runs out just before arriving at the diffusion equation describing the evolution of hillslope topography.
