Well !!!!how great--at last the Priory Open---Closed during many of my visits here especially during the 'Covid Pandemic' episode nationally.... I first visited around 2009 with a basic camera and was able to capture early images and the museum with its artefacts.... I have loved this place since my first visits---the history here, the mystery and the peace--the quietness........I was overjoyed on this day to be able to wander around inside the Priory again.......Once an even bigger Priory and dedicated to Thomas a Becket by one of his murderers---The Priory is of significance in history and a record of the past....Affected by 'The Dissolution of the Monasteries 'in the reign of King Henry VII------I also have a family tree link---Beatrice or Helewise Stuteville found within my family tree and the wife of one of the 4 murderers of Thomas a Becket.....There are of course myths and legends here--ghosts and spirits........but I find it a peaceful place--a quiet retreat........Other recordings created by myself over the past 12 years can be found on YT.............
