Here we are at the 2nd Half countdown for 2016. I had this video ready to go, but I had to wait until BIGBANG performed their song again since I needed more than one footage to work with. So this video is like hot off the presses haha. I must say I was little surprised with the results in this video. The Top 3 were all very close, but when I saw the results, I literally went, "Oh dang! Woah!" haha. Only 3 girl groups this time around. Oh well. I'll be doing my own video after this one. Artists & Songs Live Performances Include: (Alphabetically) BIGBANG / 빅뱅 - Fxxk It / 에라 모르겠다 - With BIGBANG, I have pretty high expectations. They're put on such a pedestal that I expect things like "Fantastic Baby", "Haru Haru" or "Lies" and unfortunately, their entire MADE album (now including these 2) were nothing special to me. It's BIGBANG, it must be the best and really popular, right? Well, that doesn't work with me. No free pass here. BTS / Bangtan Boys / 방탄소년단 - Blood Sweat & Tears / 피 땀 눈물 - Well, this song was a little strange on my first listen but I definitely grew to like it. I honestly thought J-Hope was saying, "Money money money!" and then they all grab their dicks and then I thought, "Oh, I get it! They're grabbing their money makers!" Infinite / 인피니트 - The Eye / 태풍 - As a huge Infinite fan, I always have high hopes for them too. With this song, I really loved a majority of it. However, I was held back on the chorus. I do love me some Sungkyu, but this is a perfect example of when I don't like Sungkyu. The nasally wailing was way too much for me on my first few listens that I didn't think I would like this song. It really could've used a harmonious chorus. Luckily, I found joy in it by singing along to it and mimicking that very thing that I grew to like the song overall haha. MAMAMOO / 마마무 - Decalcomanie / 데칼코마니 - Whatever the hell this song is called, this was the first MAMAMOO song I ever downloaded. This is a song I can get on board with! Red Velvet / 레드벨벳 - Russian Roulette Seventeen / 세븐틴 - Very Nice / 아주 NICE - I have yet to like a Seventeen song. This song, I remember, being strange to me. Booming voice start, retro part, rap, falsetto, 아주 NICE!, blowing horns, and then heavy crotch grabbing coupled with intense thrusting. It was a lot for me in 45 seconds haha. However, I will say that after giving this song another shot (because I had to edit it), I actually see the charm in it. SHINee / 샤이니 - 1 of 1 - When I first heard this song, I found this pretty underwhelming. Luckily, after a few listens, the 90s-ness grew on me and I came to really like it. However, I have one issue with this song and Tell Me What to Do, I really don't like the raps. I love me some Minho (and Key), but in both songs, the raps were really out of place and made the song disjointed. They didn't really call for it. Like, seriously, you don't put one in "Everybody" but you put them in these two? smh SHINee - Tell Me What To Do - I like this song more than 1 of 1. I really liked how this is probably the first SHINee title track that has a chorus sung by each of the members throughout the song. I still can't decide if I like Onew's or Jonghyun's version more! VIXX / 빅스 - Fantasy - After "On and On" and "Hyde", VIXX likes to see how dark they can get. "Voodoo Doll" was tastefully and awesomely done. "Error" and "Eternity" were cool too. This one though was just over the top in the drama. Emo maybe? This song did pass my first test and I downloaded it thinking it would grow on me, but in a very rare case, it had almost the opposite effect. My friends went as far to say that this song was just a major eye-roll haha. Granted, I still can say I "like" this song, but it's far from my favorite VIXX song.
