Lunges are common; but great lunges are uncommon. Move with awareness of the micro muscles you are stretching. Build strength with slow movement and awareness. Motion is lotion for your body and mind. Practice with integrity by listening to the body, not the mind's agenda. Do that and all gets better. Lunge with awareness of the back muscles being used. Lunge in opposing direction to be kind to the muscles on the other side of the leg. Breathe as you hold the pose. Deep breathing opens physical and mental space.
